Research on and with humans is necessary in order to develop better therapies and thus improve the prospects of a symptom-free life.
Our department therefore conducts numerous clinical studies. The team of experienced investigators and specially trained "clinimetry" staff ensure the greatest possible safety for study participants, especially when testing drugs. Clinical trials are conducted according to strict guidelines, as methods are often tested whose efficacy and safety are not yet fully known. To protect the trial participants, particular emphasis is placed on their safety, especially the occurrence of side effects or the absence of effects. As a result, patients participating in clinical trials receive particularly attentive care and monitoring.
The department is currently conducting several clinical trials. Patients with different diagnoses are treated with the latest methods, drugs and/or strategies as part of these trials.
