At the beginning of March 2012, a consultation hour for adult patients with cystic fibrosis was established at the Clinical Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Primarily patients with double lung transplantation, but also non-transplanted patients with CF-associated liver disease, are cared for here with regard to their liver, pancreas, intestinal and nutritional problems, both as inpatients and as outpatients. Experienced physicians of the department as well as specialized dieticians (P. Hillebrand, M. Fischl) are available as caregivers (Ao. Univ. Prof. Dr. L. Kazemi-Shirazi, Dr. E. Halilbasic).

The most important goal of the new consultation is to contribute to the maintenance and improvement of the patients' quality of life through comprehensive, regular and long-term care. For this purpose, all gastroenterological-hepatological relevant diagnostic and therapeutic options are available.
