Endosonography

General information
Endosonography is a special form of ultrasound examination (sonography). In this case, it is not performed from the outside through the skin, but from the inside. As a result, certain organs can be better and more sharply depicted, in some cases organs can be subjected to ultrasound examination in the first place, and there is also the possibility of ultrasound-targeted biopsies.

For this purpose, special endoscopes are used, which have an ultrasound probe at the tip. We have 2 types of devices at our disposal, which are selected depending on the indication. On the one hand, there are devices that allow a 360° view, and on the other hand, there are dedicated puncture devices that allow the removal of tissue samples from tumors or unclear lesions.
